The Panhandle Regional Planning Commission (PRPC) is very pleased to serve as the Economic Development District for the top 26 Counties of the Texas Panhandle.  Over the past 30 years has worked closely with the cities, counties, and special districts of the region to expand existing industries, recruit new industries, and maintain the region's global competativeness in agriculture and energy.  PRPC has developed partnerships with other regional institutions to serve as major national economic development players.  The High Ground of Texas is a partnership of Panhandle and South Plains entities working together to show businesses and industries why the High Ground is the best place for successful endeavors.  A strong workforce, tremendous natural resource availability, and great infrastructure make the region special.

This website provides information on and links to PRPC's economic development data and the most useful economic development data made available through our partners.  Panhandle Maps utilizes the latest ARC/GIS data and aerial photography of the region for the use of the general public.  The High Ground of Texas is the primary clearinghouse of all Economic Development Data in the region.  PRPC's own Census Data provides a very clear depiction of the region's demographics.
